Are you ready to retire that vehicle?
The Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) is administered by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and is designed to help improve California's air quality. A consumer may retire a qualified vehicle and receive $1000. Consumers meeting low income eligibility requirements may receive $1500.
In addition, CAP provides qualified consumers who own a vehicle that cannot pass its biennial (every other year) Smog Check inspection up to $500 in financial assistance toward emissions-related repairs. Covina's Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Station
The City of Covina’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station, located at the City’s Corporate Yard, 534 N. Barranca Avenue, Covina, CA 91723 has undergone a significant upgrade and is now open to all users of CNG fuel. The station originally opened in 1993 and was constructed with grant funds from the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (AQMD) Assembly Bill 2766 Subvention Funds (AB 2766).
The station only accepts credit cards as payment with the following cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Voyager, and Wright Express cards. Station operating hours are Monday-Thursday from 6 am-4:30 pm. For more information on the CNG fueling station, please contact the Environmental Services Section at (626) 384-5480.
